Regulatory approach statement

This statement sets out our high-level regulatory approach. It includes the key terms we use, our regulatory purpose, who we regulate, how we regulate and our regulatory toolkit.

It provides our regulated entities, governments and the public with a clear statement of how we perform our role and what can be expected from us.

Provider risk framework

​​We have identified a number of risks to consider when registering and monitoring school education providers.

We seek to eliminate or minimise harm, and the risk of harm, to apprentices and trainees.

This framework is designed to guide the VRQA Schools Unit in the assessment of risks and determination of regulatory actions after a school review.

The home schooling framework outlines our role in regulating home schooling. It informs our operations and engagement with families and our relationships with other organisations.
