We have updated our home education application form to include detailed instructions about court orders.
The types of court orders or agreements that may impact registration for home education include:
- a court order or parenting plan
- an intervention order
- a child protection order
- any other order that impacts parental responsibility for education.
You will need to provide a copy of the orders or agreements with your application form. We will check how they affect the application.
If there is equal shared parental responsibility, you need to include the other parent’s details or have a signed letter from them consenting to the application.
In other circumstances where an order is in place, we may also need consent from both parents. We will contact you for further information if required.
The updated application form is available on our Register to home educate page.
