We are holding an information session on Tuesday 1 April 2025 for prospective independent schools.
It will provide prospective applicants with an overview of the registration process. The session will also feature presentations from Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) and the Department of Education. It will cover:
- school governance and not-for-profit requirements
- minimum standards and requirements for school registration
- the role of ISV and funding available to independent schools
- Victorian Government support for independent schools.
This session is essential for any organisation planning to apply to register an independent school in 2025.
When: Tuesday 1 April 2025 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm
There are 2 options for attending the session:
- Register to attend online through Microsoft Teams
- Register to attend in-person at 200 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne
Before attending, please read the Guidelines to the minimum standards and requirements for school registration.
The guidelines outline the regulatory requirements and the evidence you need to apply to register an independent school.
Additional meetings that include the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) for prospective providers of a senior or foundation secondary course will be arranged, if required.
