We have developed new guidance to help school boarding premises comply with the supervision minimum standard.
This is in response to feedback that school boarding premises want more guidance about how they can ensure the safety and wellbeing of their boarders.
Thank you to the school boarding premises who provided valuable feedback. Your input helped ensure this resource is useful and reflects good practice in school boarding premises.
The guidance provides information about 24-hour supervision and what this means in practice.
It includes information about:
- what active supervision means
- the evidence requirements for supervision
- common non-compliances
- how to make sure you remain compliant.
The guidance includes case studies to provide examples of situations that may arise and the actions required to keep boarders safe.
Read the Guide to 24-hour supervision at school boarding premises.
