If you are an apprentice and use your car for work, you may be eligible for a 100% discount on your registration.
You have to be using your car, ute or van for work purposes or to regularly get to or from work between 8:30 pm and 5:30 am.
You must hold a current Victorian driver’s licence, not a learner’s permit.
When you receive your registration notice, apply for the discount at VicRoads.
You will need to tell your employer about the discount and provide their details to VicRoads. They will check with your employer to confirm that you use your car for work.
You will also need to provide your VRQA registration number. You can find this in our correspondence or by contacting your Apprentice Connect Australia Provider.
For more information and to see if you are eligible for the discount, visit Access resources for apprentices and trainees.
