The VRQA charges fees for:

  • registration of providers of education and training and student exchange
  • accreditation of vocational education and training (VET) courses
  • issue of apprenticeship certificates.

Details can be found on our Fees(opens in a new window) page.

VRQA fees and charges changed on 1 January 2026 to reflect Consumer Price Index movements.

Increases do not apply to vocational education and training (VET) fees for VRQA-registered training organisations (RTOs). In August 2014, a Ministerial Order held VET fees for VRQA-registered RTOs at 2014 levels. This fee freeze was extended in 2016 and continues to apply.
